With more than 300 sunny days per year, the longest sandy beaches on the Canary Islands, a large number of secluded bays, and great waves whose quality is widely known among surfers, you can be sure that Fuerteventura is one of the best surf destinations in Europe. The island is situated on the same geographic latitude as Florida or Mexico and temperatures here rarely drop below 20°C or rise above 30°C, so the island provides favorable conditions for surfing during the whole year. With very mild winters and summers without extraordinarily high temperatures, conditions on Fuerteventura are always very pleasant. The coast is full of diversity: from sandy beaches and dunes on the east coast of the island formed by sand brought from the Sahara desert to the hidden villages surrounded by volcanic rocks and black sand beaches on the west coast. The interior of Fuerteventura is sparsely populated and it is characterized by a large number of volcanic peaks and a few green oases with palm trees. Our house is located in Corralejo at the northern tip of the island, where also all the best surf spots are situated. Centre of Corralejo offers everything that you could need after a long day full of surfing: surf shops, restaurants, and bars, so you can be sure that there is always something happening around the corner.

FLIGHT TICKETS:

There are numerous flight options to Fuerteventura with low-cost airlines like Ryanair or Easyjet. Tickets mostly cost around 100-250€ for return flights from Europe, depending on the time of your purchase. A solid number of major European cities like London, Liverpool, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona, Brussels, Milan and others are directly connected to the island. DATES:

We have prepared 8 recommended weeks for season 2024. from the 23rd of March to 20th of April and from the 9th of November to 7th of December. Arrivals and departures are on Saturdays and it is possible to choose between a stay of 7 or 14 nights.

PRICES:

The surf camp price for the duration of 7 nights with 6 days of surf school is 550€. For everybody who wants to stay longer, an option with 14 nights of accommodation and with 12 days of school costs 1100€. If you have any special wishes with a different number of days in school or nights in the surf house, just send us an inquiry for price calculation at info@koholasurf.com. We would recommend you to stay longer than one week in the camp for better improvement of your surfing skills.

CORRALEJO

The town of Corralejo is located in the northern part of Fuerteventura, just opposite the Lobos island (Islote de Lobos). It is located in the municipality of La Oliva and it is the largest resort on the island, but at the same time in its center, it still preserved the traditional old fishing district. Along the coast, there is a promenade with various cafes, restaurants, and shops with souvenirs, as well as a port from which you can visit the nearby island Lanzarote with a regular ferry line. The main attractions of Corralejo are long sandy beaches that surround the city, as well as a 10 km long sand dune system formed by the deposition of sand from the Sahara desert which has been declared a park of nature (Parque Natural de las Dunas de Corralejo). The sea around Corralejo has intensely blue colors, and apart from sandy beaches, there are also some volcanic rocks and beaches made of volcanic lava that adorn the coastline.

SURF SCHOOL

School is going to be held by experienced instructors in the English language. Each day he will take you to the spot with the best conditions according to your surfing skills. Wave quality depends on wind and swell directions, tides, and the size of the waves, and in the end, it depends on the potential crowd factor. Your instructor will take care to avoid crowds and find ideal conditions to catch your first waves. Corralejo and its surroundings are the best region for surfing on Fuerteventura, and due to a large number of surf spots, every day your surf instructor will find one that suits your abilities.

What is included in the surf school?

• 6 days of surf lessons (usually van will pick you up at 10AM, and you are back home at 3PM)
• transport to the beach
• complete equipment – surfboard and wetsuit (you can use equipment all day long, but after surf school, you need to take it and return it to the surf shop)

We cooperate with the local surf school, which is the official school of the Canarian Surf Association. It is also a guarantee that our surf school offers:

• licensed surf teachers (who also have a license for the rescuers)
• the best equipment for all levels of surfing (beginners, intermediate and advanced)
• maximum of 8 participants per surf instructor (for 9 students and more there are 2 instructors)
• the surf school is completely legal and approved by local authorities

FOOD

Surfing is a pretty intense sport, so you should eat according to that and preserve your strength. We can take care of that because you can additionally order breakfast which contains bread, butter, eggs, cheese, ham, jelly, chocolate cereals, muesli, milk, orange juice, tea, and coffee.

SURF HOUSE

The surf house is decorated in the Mediterranean style and has four rooms for 2-4 persons, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a huge living room. The spacious courtyard includes a garden, terrace with BBQ, and pool with a sunbathing area. At home, you can relax with a TV or free Wi-Fi, a surf magazine or a good book, or you can socialize with the rest of the guests.

Once when your booking is completed, we will contact you with further instructions about a downpayment and the purchase of flight tickets. When booking, please write down the email that you use the most often because most communications will take place by email. In the case of filling up all capacities, a person who sent a down payment first has a priority. Please don’t forget to read the General Terms & Conditions and specify whether you agree in your application.

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

The deadline for full payment and purchase of plane tickets for all camps is 14 days before your arrival. A deposit in the amount of 150€ needs to be paid up to 7 days after booking confirmation. Please wait for the purchase of flight tickets until we contact you to arrange details regarding your time of arrival.
